After the opening prayer, the September meeting minutes were approved and are to be sent to the office for publication.
Results from the next step of the survey process in which leaders of each ministry contacted those interested in helping out included new people for coffee hour.
Discussion was had as to how important it is to schedule training sessions for Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers, including a spiritual portion possibly given by someone from the Diocese. The sooner the better.
Julie is to set up a meeting between Father John and the woman interested in the Youth Minister position.
With the office size issue, it was suggested that the people who volunteered to help out in the office be contacted when special events are being done; such as gift bags for the holidays.
It was decided that all the information we could garner from the survey has been received, and that there had been good participation from the parishioners.
Fall Festival activities were finalized as far as food being handled by Cathy and Gabby. Hopefully, confirmation candidates will be available to take orders and deliver the dinners, as well as deliver the prizes to the winners once they are announced. The 50/50 will be held right at the event.
Tickets are to be sold after the Masses on 10/26-27, 11/2-3 and 11/9-10 by Council members. There will be example baskets at the ticket table to excite people to buy them early, but tickets will be available at the door as well.
It was suggested that we invite area churches to the event by sending them the announcement for the Fall Festival.
After discussion it was agreed that we’d see how the evening was going before deciding when to pull the winning tickets for the prizes.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 7:00 pm in the Blue Room.
