Sacraments
There are seven sacraments of the Catholic Church, which according to Catholic theology were instituted by Jesus and entrusted to the Church. Sacraments are visible rites seen as signs and efficacious channels of the grace of God to all those who receive them with the proper disposition.
Baptism
Instructional classes for parents prior to the Baptism of their child is held the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm. To sign up, please call the parish office at 518-674-3818. Baptisms are celebrated on the second Sunday of each month during mass, and the fourth Sunday of the month after the 10:00am mass.
Confirmation
This Sacrament is conferred in the 10th grade. The diocese requires a two-year preparation period. That takes place in grades 9 & 10, including a retreat and a two-day mandatory preparation. Marriage
Arrangements for marriage should be made at least six months in advance. Please call the parish office at 518-674-3818 for more information.
First Communion
Sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion will begin after completing at least one year of Faith Formation. This is the prerequisite to registration into sacramental preparation classes. Participants will attend weekly classes, Mass, and a retreat to further their faith education experience.
